How It Works

January 1, 0001

The Process

We sell direct to customers — no middleman, no markups, no mystery. Here’s exactly how it works.

Step 1: Browse & Choose Your Cuts

Head to the Farm Store and browse our products by category. Everything listed is from our own farm — heritage pork cuts, cold-smoked specialties, sausages, eggs, and specialty items like leaf lard.

Quantities are limited and updated in real time. If something shows as sold out, it means we’re out and the next batch isn’t ready yet.

Step 2: Add to Cart & Checkout

Each product page has a Shopify Buy Button. Add items to your cart, then click Checkout when you’re ready. You’ll be taken to our secure Shopify checkout to complete your order with a credit card or PayPal.

Step 3: We Confirm & Schedule Pickup

After your order is placed, we’ll reach out via email to confirm availability and schedule a pickup time at the farm in Buckley, WA.

Local delivery is also available within a reasonable radius — mention it in the order notes or email us at [email protected] to discuss.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I mix and match cuts?

Yes. Order exactly what you want — there are no bundle requirements. Pick one pack of bacon and a dozen eggs, or build your own chest freezer full of heritage pork. Up to you.

How fresh is the product?

Very fresh. We don’t maintain large inventories of processed product. When items are listed as available, they’re ready for pickup within days.

Do you ship?

Not currently. Local pickup and local delivery only. This lets us ensure quality and eliminates the risk of product arriving in poor condition.

What does “cold smoked” mean?

Cold smoking is a traditional preservation and flavoring method where smoke is applied at low temperatures (below 90°F) rather than heat-smoking. The product isn’t cooked — it develops deep smoke flavor and can be preserved longer, but still needs to be cooked before eating. Our smokehouse processes small batches using real hardwood.

What breed are your pigs?

Heritage breeds. We specifically raise breeds known for their marbling, fat quality, and flavor — the opposite of the commodity lean breeds that dominate commercial pork. The difference is significant and immediately noticeable.

How do I know your eggs are actually pasture-raised?

Crack one open. The yolk will be deep orange, not pale yellow. That’s the result of a hen eating real grass, bugs, and plants — not just grain. You can’t fake it with dye (trust us, we’ve seen people try).

Do you take orders in advance?

Sometimes, for large quantities. Reach out at [email protected] to discuss.
